Victoria Vesna

Victoria Vesna, Ph.D., is a media artist and Professor at the UCLA Department of Design | Media Arts and Director of the Art|Sci center at the School of the Arts and California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI). She is currently a senior researcher at IMéRA – Institut Méditerranéen de Recherches Avancées in Marseille (2011-2013). Her work can be defined as experimental creative research that resides between disciplines and technologies. With her installations she explores how communication technologies affect collective behavior and how perceptions of identity shift in relation to scientific innovation. Victoria has exhibited her work in over twenty solo exhibitions, more than seventy group shows, has been published in excess of twenty papers and gave 100+ invited talks in the last decade. She is the North American editor of AI & Society and in 2007 published an edited volume – Database Aesthetics: Art in the age of Information Overflow, Minnesota Press and most recently an edited volume entitled Context Providers: Conditions of Meaning in Media Arts. (co-edited with Christiane Paul and Margot Lovejoy). Intellect Press, 2011.

Ellen K. Levy

Ellen K. Levy, PhD, is a multimedia artist and writer exploring the socio-political ramifications of complex systems. She was President of the College Art Association (2004-2006) before earning her doctorate (2012) from the University of Plymouth (UK). She was a Henry Luce Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Skidmore, recipient of an AICA award, and an invited participant in Robert Wilson’s Art and Neuroscience Watermill Workshop. Career highlights include a NASA commission, and solo exhibitions at the New York and National Academy of Sciences (DC). Her art has been in landmark group exhibitions overseen by Lucy Lippard and Martin Kemp, in the 2nd Moscow Biennale, and in solo shows at galleries and museums, here and abroad. Her work was featured in a group exhibition about invention as part of the Getty’s PST Art and Science Collide Initiative (2024). Levy co-directs Leonardo/ISAST’s NY LASER and co-edits the “Art and Science since 1750” book series of Routledge, Taylor & Francis.

Ivy Lovett

Ivy Lovett is a graphic designer, artist, and educator based in Southern California. She specializes in developing visual systems across print and digital platforms, with experience in brand identity, book and publication design, exhibition graphics, and marketing campaigns. Her design practice often incorporates illustration and playful storytelling, weaving themes of nostalgia, memory, and eclecticism. Alongside her design work, she teaches at Moorpark College and directs the campus MakerSpace. She earned her B.A. in Design | Media Arts from UCLA’s School of the Arts & Architecture.

Debora Giannone is a multidisciplinary creative professional and storyteller working with various mediums that all are interconnected.
